OUR FOUNDERS
Meet the visionary founders of EGO Academy, Toria and Willard Brown, veteran educators with over 30 years of combined experience. Toria, as the Executive Director, and Willard, as the Chief Innovation Officer, established EGO in 2006. Award-winning educators, they ignited their journey with the impactful Downtown History project, engaging 20 students in exploring Memphis' trolley loop history and career readiness. With over three decades of friendship and 21 years of marriage, the Browns bring a wealth of knowledge and innovation to youth education.
Beyond the classroom, Toria and Willard have been leading in education by creating curriculums, acquiring grant money, and spearheading various non-profits in the Mid-South for years. Their leadership extends beyond EGO Academy, leaving a lasting impact on educational innovation and community development.
